Absolutely. All our products are available in your choice of plywood or solid wood. We recommend plywood because of its functional versatility and eco-friendly sustainability.
All our plywoods are engineered and made from real wood! We use them in our designs because they yield functional and distinctive furniture that is more economical, environmentally friendly, and generally easier to maintain (more climate, weather, humidity and moisture resistant) in most cases than that made with solid woods. Our plywood edge banding adds a seamless solid wood look and unlike solid wood, ply does not split or break during the manufacturing process.
Because we are not fans of nor recommend particle board for furniture, we will use it to manufacture your order ONLY if you specify it.
We offer a full range of solid wood options and capabilities including live edge surfacing and routing for tabletops and more. In general the difference between plywood and solid wood furniture is reflected in price with the latter being more expensive. Solid woods take longer time and more expense to sustainably grow and harvest. Because they can also split or break during the manufacturing process solid wood items generate more costly waste adding to manufacturing expense. Digital Twin is the proprietary technology that powers our ‘Make & Buy Local’ ecosystem through which New Edge delivers higher quality custom personalized furniture directly to our customers at lower cost than any big furniture retailer or furniture studios!
Our process allows you to see your design digitally so you know how it will look, and what the measurements will be before we ever start to make it. You don’t purchase your design until you are 100% satisfied with the measurements and options. Then we do the rest including real people in our Ecosystem closest to your geography finishing and packaging your item for delivery to you. If you are close enough to your local 2ulfab, you could even avail our service to have your design assembled and delivered!
Our products are priced to offer you unprecedented value (better, faster, cheaper) for the features, services and product quality we include. For instance you pay nothing, nada, zip, zero for having us modify any of our designs to your needs! We know this because we are reinventing furniture manufacture and retail – not just how and where it is designed and manufactured but also how it is priced and retailed.
Absolutely, Yes! And not just custom dimensions. With your Custom Order Request, you can customize with a specification for material of your choice, finish, color and other personalization options (engraving, inlay etc.) as well. Depending on the extent of the customization, we will confirm a precise expected delivery window.
Our basic plywood offers the most affordable option. This plywood has a thin veneer of pine that is ready to paint or coat with a clear poly or stain or if you desire be left natural. It can have imperfections like those created by air bubble voids during its manufacturing process, so we recommend it primarily for cabinets or shelves that don’t need to be pretty, just useful.
Our standard plywood is Red Oak, Maple, and Birch. These feature a beautiful veneer with wood grains that look great with stain or a clear poly coat to protect them. These woods are FSC certified with soy based environmentally safe resins, perfect for shelving, cabinets, furniture, and more!
Our premier plywoods are for designs that are functional and beautiful, starting with our Baltic birch which is composed entirely of birch wood layers that are cross-hatched for strength. Additional offerings include White Oak, Maple, Walnut, Mahogany, and more. Each varies in price and If you are looking for something specific, just let us know and we will check with our local mills or suppliers for you.
We also offer melamine faced plywood in a white, black, or gray finish. These are not particle boards but rather strong laminate plywood ideally suited for heavy use and easy clean up. The plywood and veneers that New Edge utilizes in its manufacturing for your products are sourced from FSC approved wood producers and distributors.
In a word, unlimited even though we use only environmentally friendly low VOC stains. If you give us a specific color identifier (eg. swatch number for a custom color or stain) we are confident in our ability to closely if not perfectly match it.

PLEASE NOTE: We only use art that we are licensed to use. If you send us someone else’s artwork we reserve the right to reverse image search it. If you have an artist’s artwork you request us to use, what you need and must have is their prior permission. New Edge abides by copyright restrictions so any copyrighted images will not be reproduced without the owner’s permission.
Edge banding is a manufacturing process that essentially glues a layer of veneer to mask the otherwise distinctively visible edges of multiple layers of boards from which plywood is manufactured. It gives the look of solid wood without the expense or environmental impact and allows us to create designs that would not be possible with traditional woodworking.

Once your payment is received, your purchase is sent directly to the workshop. So that you can monitor the progress of your purchase you will receive three emails regarding the status of your order. You will be alerted by email at the following stages;

We recommend it, especially for larger or high value items but it is up to you and this requirement is governed by third party delivery services we rely on for delivery. It will be necessary for someone to be available to accept delivery if you request that we use a secure courier for your delivery.
Furthermore, our carriers provide a door-to-door service, which does not include carrying the items inside, carrying items upstairs, placement, or removal of packaging. If your order includes larger items or you are not comfortable carrying your items, we suggest having an additional person to assist with the placement of your items inside.
New Edge is committed to responsive customer support. If you wish to return an item(s), please send an email to support@newedgefurniture.com. We request you include your purchase order number so we can find your order details in the most convenient way.
We strive to earn your confidence and trust and want you to be Zen with your purchase. Even though each of our items is custom made just for you, New Edge provides customers with a 14 day ‘return for any reason’ period to credit back up to 100% of the purchase order after you receive delivery of your product(s).
New Edge does provide refunds. Any product(s) returned will be fully credited back less the delivery costs to return the product(s).
You can return your item(s) within 14 days of the purchase date. If the product(s) is not damaged or faulty, and you simply decided that you do not want it anymore, you will receive a refund, less the outbound associated shipping costs. Shipping costs will vary according to the item(s) and your location.
In the unexpected event of receiving a faulty product(s) or you have a warranty claim, please contact us by email at support@newedgefurniture.com Photos may be requested to support the assessment of your claim. If the warranty claim is accepted, we will arrange a replacement, a store credit or a refund for the item(s) and cover all associated freight costs.
I need to return an item(s), but don’t have the original packaging. Now what?
In order to issue a credit note, original packaging is required in instances where you have changed your mind or would like to exchange for a different item(s), size or color. Please note that the item(s) must be unused and returned within 14 days of purchase.
If the item(s) is faulty, but the customer is no longer in possession of the original packaging the return claim can still be submitted. Where the original packaging is either damaged or no longer suitable to protect the product once shipped, you must arrange by whatever means to have the product(s) safety and securely wrapped before being picked up by our delivery partners.
All New Edge products are backed by a three year warranty under normal usage, to be free from defects in material and workmanship.New Edge’s liability under this warranty is to repair or replace (at its discretion) any part or product covered by this (or any implied) warranty free of charge.
Normal wear and tear;
Damage arising from abnormal use, or abuse;
Products which have not been maintained, or which have been modified;
Any indirect or consequential loss.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Order Number or invoice is considered proof of purchase. All works carried out by a party under instructions from New Edge will be covered by the 12 month warranty on workmanship and repair. If the workmanship of the repair is deemed by New Edge Furniture to be faulty a new item will be provided. All and any other warranties, express or implied, are excluded.
